So. Lets just say that I've written countless posts about cars on campus, in many different facets I'd like to point out. But this post, though directed to cars on campus, is a new beast.
Lets just say that the intersection of Parker and 8th Street has been bad news waiting to happen, well, ever since it existed.
But since the School of Religion building has open on said corner, the students getting to the building have just added fuel to the already out-of-control fire.
I, while trying to make it to my 10 a.m. class (which is a rant for a different place and time), almost witnessed a student get run over by a wild vehicle.
He was one brave guy, let me just point out.
I was in my car (which we've now named Cami) sitting directly in front of the Religion Building on 8th Street, waiting patiently to make a left turn onto Parker Street, to make it alive and in one piece to my 10 a.m. class in the PCSU.
The car that was trying to do the running-over was on Parker Street, headed towards the religion building trying to make a right turn onto 8th Street.
Lets just say that Lee's students are not patient and don't want to wait for hours on the corner of the street, simply trying to get to class. IN THE FREEZING COLD. So, me being the kind soul I am, try to give the pedestrians the benefit of the doubt when it is either unbelievable cold or raining, I just like to let them all go first, since I'm in my warm car and out of the elements anyhow...
First the car crashes, then the construction... this intersection is just bad luck.
