Are you looking to gain some mad new skills?
Trying stopping at a local Ross or TJ Max store, where you can find software programs that will teach you some impressive new skills.
You can learn to speak Chinese, Spanish, French and Italian all for a low price of $5.99. Ok, do you understand how cheap that is?
I paid about $50 for my Berlitz Spanish Premier software. The reason being, I bought it at a Mac Store.
The leading in language software, Rosetta Stone, has Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps endorsing their product in this commercial.
But, better yet is this footage of him practicing his mad skills.
The Rosetta Stone product contains levels 1, 2 and 3. It sells at Barnes and Noble for $594. Yikes! Now, I think people are probably paying for the Michael Phelps endorsement.
Granted, it may be a little bit of a better quality then my $5.99 version by Topics Entertainment. However, The Instant Immersion Chinese Delux v. 2.0 also has speech recognition, interactive learning activities, and audio CDs.
So, I’m not sure what the big difference is other than the fact that you have to buy each level separately when you purchase from the Topics Entertainment company.
Hey, most of us are broke college students. So, if you are looking to just get your feet wet in learning a new language, you can do so without having to make a commitment of $594.
You would be surprised what you can find at places like Ross and T-J Max! You will find software for just about everything. They have learning how to play the guitar and keyboard software too.
Remember, it is never too late to learn a new mad skill!
